The Rovers loan news got me wondering do people know where clubs train, do they own the training grounds and if they're of a good standard?
I know a few clubs use the AUL, UCD obviously have the whole UCD campus and the great facilities there, Cork have Bishopstown not sure if they own it though, and I know Limerick had some nice plans to convert an old convent but not sure how that's going.
Harps actually have a training pitch. But if you thought the Finn Park pitch was bad, you'd want to see this place.
I wouldn't say the squad have stepped foot on it this season at all.

Here is Limerick's far as I know we have a few players staying there aswell dozens of rooms there still work going on there in regards a few more pitches and astro to be laid yet.
Likes of Aaron greene when he was shown around was blown away by the facility called it the best in the country by a mile.
Ya Aaron was blown away alright......and of course the fact he is our highest earner helps that enlightening attitude [tbf he is worth every penny so far]

We typically train on the pitch at the top.

When the weather is very poor (like most of pre-season), we train on the all weather.

On Monday and Tuesday's the player do a double session and use the gym facilities in Kingfisher Renmore which is only a few minutes away from Fahy's Field.
Town train on an all weather in Lexlip, fantastic surface, looks like the camp Nou compared to the surface in Oriel.
We train on the all weather in UL, no pitches in Bruff yet.
City train in Bishopstown, we do not own it. Planning is in place there for student apartments I believe (I could be off on the specifics). A new facility iis planned for Glanmire which is being built by the FAI to serve as a regional "Centre of Excellence". It will be available for caoching courses, referee training, underage international teams and probably for local sides as well. We will be the anchor tenants with a 99 year lease.
Wexford have a second grass pitch and all-weather facilities in Ferrycarrig but I think they use the excellent facilities in IT Carlow a lot. As a number of our players are students there, any decision by IT Carlow to enter the League themselves would have a serious effect on the Youths.
We train in ALSAA near Dublin Airport, they have a gym there aswel.
Derry usually train in the Brandywell Showgrounds, that's the pitches to the south of the main pitch. They're council owned.
Occasionally training is moved to St Columb's Park and other plastic pitches, but these are all council owned as well.
