Man City midfielder Joey Barton faces massive fine

Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton is facing a large fine following an incident at the club's Christmas party on Sunday.
Barton was involved in a fracas with youth team player Jamie Tandy which ended with the midfielder stubbing a cigar out in the youngster's eye.

It is understood that Tandy had tried to set Barton's shirt on fire.

The Club have already carried out an internal investigation and both players have been deemed guilty of gross misconduct.

22-year-old Barton could now be fined six weeks' wages, around €143,000.

Barton's shirt did catch on fire and ran out of the building. The local police caught up with him later and charged him with possessing an illegal firearm :D
