Anyone heading to this?
Game is in Zenica.....which is about 1hr drive from Sarajevo/Sarajevo Intl Airport and 2hrs drive from Tuzla Airport
Most reasonable priced flights to Sarajevo come in about the 300euro mark but with long stopovers
Anyone going and what routes you taking?
Just put this on ybig( going with austrian airlines 270 return including their "optional" £5 payment fee -if I didn't have a life I would email them and the European Advertisments and Consumer Authority about misleading charges and get that thing refunded):
"I find it awful funny when people say you have to book your hotel really early and all this stuff, when the same people are booking about 5 hotels with free cancellations, if they werent doing any of this they wouldnt be putting up the prices for everyone else. It's a complete me fein job regardless of whats written up here. LOLLOL
Also whats just as funny people putting up these mad rush times, and then how they are staying one night somewhere else and how i only got it for 150 or 200 and how great a price it is. Is it fcuk yer travelling at horrid times usually with loads of stopovers and in some cases a night somewhere else, by the time ye factor in all the food, drink, transport and all the messing the extra 100 ye spend on the most direct flights and appropriate and decent times ye've probably spent a lot more. If you were really doing it to save money, but for people its the adventure and to say that they've done this big long journey as some sort of medal of honour. WackoWacko
Booked Austrian airlines, total travel time each way under 5 hours. All connecting flights. Don't leave earlier than 09.05 and don't arrive back later than 6.50 pm. All for a good price too, granted I am coming from heathrow."
Full flight information is via Heathrow -> Vienna -> Sarajevo, same back out thursday back sunday. Connecting flights with 40 mins stopover, which i love because they will hold the plane as only 1 flight out of Vienna a day to Sarajevo. Total travel time out is 4h 45mins. Total travel time back is 4 h 50 mins. Carry on luggage so shouldn't have an issue with lost baggage.
Staying in hotel central, 3 nights, nice SPA and pool to relax in. 75 per night for 2 of us sharing.

A guide regarding cost of travel. Not too bad at €455+€70 to include direct flights, airport and match transfers and 1 night accommodation (no match ticket)
I think they are doing an extra night for an additional €40.00

When I saw that yesterday I thought shame they're not flying over on the Thursday. If I knew I'd get a ticket I'd be tempted....
Abbey Travel are charging 600€ for a 1 night, 1 person deal, plus the face value cost of a guaranteed match ticket.
Can you get your money back if there is a handball incident?
Bosnians have apparently agreed to supply 800 tickets for the FAI.
Abbey Travel package on their website now travel Friday am return Saturday am including match ticket, accommodation, transfers at €569 + face value of ticket.
Closing date for clubs and affiliates is tomorrow so it will be Friday probably before applicants are notified whether they've got a ticket. I understand said that the offer for tickets was significantly oversubscribed.
Announced today on FAI website with the Squad announcement
" Premium Level tickets for the second leg game between Republic of Ireland and Bosnia & Herzegovina at Aviva Stadium on Monday, November 16 are still available through Ticketmaster.ie, while more General Admission tickets will be released on Monday, November 2 through Ticketmaster.ie at 11am "
More info regarding tickets for both legs released: http://www.fai.ie/ireland/news/ticke...-2016-play-off
Got sorted with a ticket today. Many making the trip on here?
I am. I was rejected for a ticket by the FAI.
I am not going to be a whingebag about it though :D Did you get sorted via FAI?
I have 420 points, but because they never registered me for this Fans Direct thing, I don't actually have any... :D
I hope we find another commie bar, and this time you can stay awake, at least long enough to hear the other Johns "divinyls" karaoke.
