Gormley calls time on illustrious career


Bray Wanderers midfielder Eddie Gormley has announced his retirement after an exceptional career in the game in Ireland, which saw him win two eircom League Premier Division titles with St Patrick’s Athletic in the late 1990s.

Gormley began his career with Bray in 1987, and went on to have spells with Doncaster Rovers and Tottenham in England.

His most celebrated time was undoubtedly with the Saints, where he won back-to-back championship-winning medals in 1998 and 1999.
