Anyone know why most of the Sligo players had masking tape over the names on the back of their jerseys tonight?
because of the squad numbers and all the players we have we dont have the money to buy shirts for all we have since a lot has left the club
It covers the other player's name :D .The jersey could say McTiernan on the back but it could be Heffernan playing in it.Stupid I know-but too cheap to make one for everybody :DQuote:

Can remember a club having velcro (spelling??) numbers on their shirts so players could change them around. Their names stayed the way they were ... just changing the numbers if need be. Seemed like a good idea to me.
A joke (and a bad one too apparently)
That is the problem with Squad numbers. Players leave in mid season and the jersey is the not usable again except with tape as outlined.
Bring back the good old fashioned 1-16...
