6 wins in a row.....

Looking good lads. I must admit to being draw towards the "we can win this lads". 8 in a row is the club record. I reckon we have to pass that to win the league. Derry will be tough on Tuesday night. Their last 3 games have been wins against Bohs, Shels and Drogs.

On the plus side, City are playing some fantastic stuff at the moment. O'Flynn has got the spring back in his step. Gamble is beginning to look like the type of player we've needed in midfield. Bennett has been solid for a while now and Dan's lookin better alongside him.

The defence as a whole has improved. 2 goals conceaded in 6 games. Not bad. A win in Derry would be huge. If they win I can see them beating Shels. If not, then I reckon a draw at Shels at best. Then we have Derry and Drogs at home - 6 points! Then go to Drogs and home to Bohs - Who knows where that will take us.

We HAVE to get a huge crowd to Shels next week. I have a good feeling about this :cool:

It must be causing Pat Fenlon some sleepless nights alright.
Do Shels have to win to qualify for the UEFA Cup? It is so long since I thought we might be up here that I have forgotten how these things work. :)

It is not too much to ask, that a few hundred non-away type fans make this special effort. For first-timers at Tolka next week (myself included), here are the directions, courtesy Shels web site.
Driving to Tolka Park from the North of the city, follow the Swords Road road from the airport towards the city. This becomes Drumcondra Road at the Whitehall junction. Continue straight, passing the Skylon Hotel on your right. Go through some pedestrian lights and Tolka Park is left at the next lights, on Richmond Road.
There are free car parks in operation near the ground but to get to these you should turn left at Whitehall onto Griffith Avenue, right at the second lights, onto Grace Park Road and this will bring you to the Ballybough end of Tolka Park.
Driving from the city centre, follow signs for the airport which will bring you out along Dorset St. which becomes Drumcondra Road. Cross the canal and go under the railway bridge. As you keep driving, you'll pass houses on your left which are back from the road, behind trees. After these houses, you go through a set of lights and over a bridge. Richmond Road is the next right.

Car Parking is free in Leydens Cash & Carry on Richmond Road.

Buses: there are many buses that go along the Drumcondra Road. Get off at "Kennedy's Pub" - ask the driver, if you need to. Then cross the bridge and turn right onto Richmond Road. Tolka Park is a couple of hundred yards down the road.

I thought tonight was the best performance of the season. From the first whistle there was an urgency in the Cork play. We had them on the back-foot from the start.

IMO Joe Gamble was the MOTM. HE was everywhere. It was Roy Keane like.

We looked very confident and passed the ball very well. There was a good enough crowd considering the weather and the way City were playing it was bearable. The sooner the St. Annes End is covered the better. It must have cost City 2000 extra people there tonight.

Can we beat Derry and Shels away in the space of 5 days?

gamble was MOTM for me too.his distribution is very good coupled with the fact that he gets stuck in.kearney and bennett were good also

Gamble definetly man of the match. Also John O'Flynn back in the groove. Form is temporary, Class is permanent !

Funnily enough, we were talking about that at half-time. The only thing about the St Anne's end is that cos the seats are very shallow-banked, covering it may cost a fortune compared to what it'd cost if the seats were more steeply banked.

What's the story with your shed, is it still getting knocked at the end of the season?

think it is yeah, heard rumours of a planning objection, but AFAIK it's still going ahead

That is coming from one of the meetings with Lennox a while back, he had mentioned it along with another section of seats above what is there now (the grassy bank) .... it was never said where that money was going to comes from.

Anyone know what the MFA are saying about The Ludzik Stand and when it'll go ahead.
