Didn't see a thread for this guy, but it seems he's settling in well at Huddersfield following his summer move from Pats.

My source tells me he's topping the polls for the pre-season fitness tests and has become good friends with the likes of James Vaughan, so things certainly seem to be going well for him. Huddersfield will be battling relegation again and there's an absence of real quality in the squad so I'd imagine we'll see him feature in the first team before too long.
He kinda looks like Cuba Gooding, Jr.

Jake Carroll has settled in well in English football
SEAN RYAN – 26 JANUARY 2014
Jake Carroll has some advice for League of Ireland players considering a move to the UK during the current transfer window: hold off until the summer window if you can

going on loan to Bury: http://www.buryfc.co.uk/news/article...d-1369488.aspx
Interesting that they say there were League One teams interested in him but he chose Bury.
His lack of progress perturbs me. Same with Paul Corry.
Used to be that players coming in from the LOI or the youth set up at PL teams would come in and take the Championship by storm with little or no prior experience.
Now the Shane Duffy's are the exception rather than the rule and that cat has already had PL, Europa League and a couple loans behind him before the Yeovil move.
The likes of Doyle were coming from full time football. Carroll was playing part time while at college. He was unlikely to be physically able to take the league by storm and it was a surprise he broke into the first team so quickly. Most people would have forecast a loan move around now.
He was injured a good while and now Huddersfield have a settled team that's doing well (wins against Wigan and Brum mean we're safe so long as we keep picking up the odd few points) and we have cover in that position. A loan move is ideal and he can challenge in the summer for a starting position again with a proper pre-season under his belt.

He's 6ft tall according to Burys official website.
Hope he does well, looked good IMO at the start and was just starting to develop his attacking side when Dixon came back and he then got injured.
I can see Dixon being sold in he near future and replaced by Carroll.
