So after the rousing success that was Forbidden Fruit it looks like I'm gonna be dragged to Body and Soul. And then there's Castlepalooza and EP.
Gonna be an epic summer.

Did you enjoy Forbidden Fruit? I thought it was awful muck.
I was only there on the Sunday. I had a great time. Great atmosphere. Decent line up and good mates. :)
I skipped most of Sunday and arrived for Chic, who were brilliant. As I walked in there were a lot of people leaving, which I couldn't understand. In general, I think the line-up was fairly poor and they were blessed by the good weather, otherwise sales would have been poor. I'd say a good majority of people were there just for Kasabian or Primal Scream and nobody else.
The line up wasn't full of big names but there was some cracking acts in Austra, Cyril Hahn and Woodkid. There was a nice vibe about and the weather of course helped.
Chic were by far the highlight. A glorious set.
Ah ok, I'd have rated those other artists as unremarkable. Chic were brilliant if a bit jukeboxish.
Really wish I was going to Body and Soul this weekend. Easily the best festival I've ever been to.
An extreme lack of festivals and gigs for me this summer unfortunately. Hopefully I'll still make one or two shows I've my eye on though, but no festivals it seems.
Is anyone going to Longitude this weekend?
Have a weekend ticket for sale for €120, cost price is €150.
Did anyone go to Groove in Kilruddery House in Bray? My mate left his job and put his savings into backing and organising it, following his dream. It was probably not cool enough for you young 'uns, it was supposed to be nice family friendly affair. The organiser is actually a big blues / metal fan!
