PREVIEW Connor takes Sligo bow

While there may be little to play for in terms of league positions at the Showgrounds this evening (Saturday, 7.30pm), all the Sligo Rovers players will be keen to impress new manager Sean Connor in his first game in charge against Athlone Town.

Belfast man Connor was appointed as Don O’Riordan’s permanent successor earlier this week, and he will run the rule over his side for the first competitive game under his chart.
