Same Format as last year – first round is all in – top 16 get through to the knockout stages.
In the case of ties after the FAI cup games I normally use the quarter finals of the EA Sports Cup as a tie-breaker. But as seen as the draw for the Quarter Finals are not made yet. The tie breaker is as follows:
"Predict the number of goals 2012 OFC Nations Cup Champions Tahiti will concede during the forthcoming Confederations Cup in Brazil"
They play 3 games - v Nigeria on the 17th of June in Belo Horizonte, v Spain on the 20th of June in Rio de Janiero and finally against Uruguay on the 23rd of June in Recife.
Should be interesting!
Edit - if 2 or more are tied then the tiebreaker comes into effect with the person or person's who are closest to the number getting the higher ranking.
Top 16 will be seeded 1-16 and these seedings will be used to determine fixtures throughout the knockout stages.
I will organise a Shield competition on the same basis as the cup for players ranked 17-32.
The cup itself is a bit disjointed this year as usual with a single fixture pushed back into August.
All predictions based on 90 mins only.
Good Luck!
