Dundalk open Gannon contract talks

First Division Dundalk have opened preliminary talks with manager Jim Gannon over a possible contract extension.
Gannon took over from Trevor Anderson early this season and while he has been unable to coax the Lilywhites into mounting a promotion tilt, he has – despite a shocking beginning to his tenure – steadied a ship that appeared in freefall under the previous regime.
