Paddy J. has the last reply on 3 threads in the National Team forum but when I click on the thread I can't see any of his replies. Even when I click on "find all posts by Paddy J." I get no matches.

no thankfully not, same person has used 5/6 different names and was banned. that might be the reason
It seems as if he's on some sort of permanent ignore for everyone else but himself..Still as long as he enjoys posting to himself..Bet its driving him mad no-one can read his witticisms..
The moron actually had the gall to appeal to me via PM. Is this what UCD calls a student these days? An ignorant, rude little príck that thinks disrupting a busy community is funny?
I'm afraid I've had to block UCD to deal with this user. I have absolutely no doubt that Foot.ie users in UCD know who this poster is, so I'm afraid I have to hand this issue over to them to deal with. When I get assurances from them that "Patrick J" won't be back, or has agreed to behave, I'll happily open the gateway he's been using again. Sorry folks, but I don't have the energy to deal with the UCD sysops at this time.
If you know any Foot.ie posters in UCD, you might want to pass this info on to them.

He realy was a university student :eek: I seriously didn't actually believe that bit. I thought, not just from the ignorance but more importantly the lack of any sort of knowledge that he displayed that this was some fantasist wind up.
Oh, I dunno Pat. I think Peter's principle come's into play here, namely that in any organisation (yes, even virtual ones), people rise to the level of their own incompetence. Some of the stuff that he/she/it was coming out with was pure PhD-level rubbish. Straight to the top of the class, Professor Paddy J! :rolleyes:

I'm busy until Tuesday, I'll lift the UCD block then. I won't reinstate the block if "Patrick J" returns and acts in a disruptive matter, I'll instead report the issue to the UCD system administrators, and I'll ask them to deal with the user as they see fit. They may do so, or they may simply block access Foot.ie on their firewalls, which I will have no control over. Like I said, it's up to the UCD Foot.ie users to police their own. If they don't, they will be the ones that will suffer for it, and they will have only themselves, and of course "Patrick J", to blame for it. It's your call guys.
