Not that surprising really. 5-1 hammering at home to WBA is asking for trouble.
I wonder who they'll get in....not many decent firefighters available.
Simon Grayson? Hopefully with Mick going the other way to Leeds United.
feel sorry for mick but his team just hasn't been good enough, was only a few months ago everyone was touting him to replace trap on here

Very harsh in my opinion. A couple of poor months compared to a few good years. I think a lot of these clubs and supporters get ideas way above their station. The mad thing is that they would probably be more content finishing 5th or 6th in the Championship every season rather than losing most weeks and scrapping for their lives in the PL*. I hope they are relegated now and the Irish guys who are good enough move on.
*I mean in terms of the manager being under pressure.
His arse has been in the bacon slicer for months now,the Leeds job would be ideal.
Could care less for Wolves now. I hope Bolton stay up and Mick kicks Wolves' arse with Leeds next year.
Betting on Alan Curbishley for Wolves has been suspended I hear.
Tough on Mick but inevitable. I think they could have turned it around but recent event, mood and patience were against it so his time was up. He generally has gone for one year rolling contracts so there should have been any issue with pay when the axe fell.
He did a fantastic job when he took over Wolves. He joined them 11 days before the start of a season, 11 players had left from the previous season and their parachute payments were over. The club feared the worst but Mick turned it all around. One afternoon in probably the only blip of the season, when Wolves were suffering a rare bad afternoon, the fans sang super Mick McCarthy. Charlton found without Curbishly, life is not great. Boring mid-table in Premier was replaced with lower league football. Wolves haven't been in top flight much prior to McCarthy. They might need to turn to him in a few years to get back there!
Is McDermott of Reading the man to take on Wolves? He's doing a good job with Reading.
Well Wolves are getting exactly what they deserve in their pursuit of a new manager. McDermott has signed a new contract at Reading while Curbishley has refused them twice. I hope they're left high and dry for a while and fall deeper into trouble. Steve Bruce has had hot and cold spells throughout his managerial career, Wolves can't really afford one of his cold spells. I'd like to have seen McCarthy get the Leeds job, think it would have suited him. I suppose Warnock is a decent Championship manager though.
Steve Bruce is a completely arrogant tosser.
Anyway, it's Terry Connor (some Irish heritage perchance? Despite being of Caribbean stock) till the end of the season.
I hope it goes well for Connor (old Leeds boy). Smacks of desperation from Wolves mind. Walter Smith was asked and spoke with them earlier last week before saying No thanks seemingly.
Not ruling out a dramatic return to Wolves:
