Excellent performance tonight against a Pats side who were extremely hard to break down and who might have been two up after ten minutes. Great patience shown and from about 25 in we bossed the game and would have scored three in the first half but for Gary Rogers.. Two great strikes from Alan Kirby who may have been on the point of making way for The Messiah when he scored the first. Pluses were the performances of Eoin Doyle at right full, Derek Foran who should be in the team and Daryl Horgan after his introduction. Richie was excellent once he got a bit of space. Probably the biggest plus lies in the fact that the pundits were talking early on about the strength in depth of the Shams squad. Well, tonight, we brought on Joseph, Raf and young Horgan and had Ciaran Kelly on the bench and Alan Keane, God (GP) and The King (DV) in the stand. And in January, Boco will probably be back with the take away. That'll do.
