Handy enough win tonight and we completely dominated, especially in the second half. Positives to take were Alan Kirby and Aaron Green, both of whom looked as if they were made for the way Cookie wants to play. Iarlaoith Davoren continues to impress and I like the look of Brendan Clarke in goals. Negatives would be Raf missing, what were by his standards, two sitters and Jason McGuinness not being Jim Lachlan. However, we played some nice stuff and 7 from 12 with only one goal conceded is not a bad start.

Thought the side imploded re shape and intent -- against dreadful opposition -- with double substitution of Doyle and Blinks for Raf and Dillon.
As for McGuinness 'there may be trouble ahead' -- put it that well known song.
Would have liked McGoldrick to get a longer run out.

One thing that struck me was the quality of crosses from open play and corners was very good - Long may it continue. Kirby looks like he's nailed down a place in the side - at least till Ndo returns

Aaron Green put in three superb crosses in the first half against Port and set up a tap in for JR in the second.
