Longford Town must have their grounds up to Uefa standard by the end of the month if they are to be allowed play their Uefa Cup clash in Flancare Park, leaving the club racing a race against time to conduct the upgrade.

The club have been effectively told that they will be awarded a Uefa ’A’ licence to allow them play in the Uefa Cup, although Flancare Park has not reached the standard set by the Licensing committee.
