Clubs gather together for season launch

AIRTRICITY LEAGUE football was out in force today as the 2011 season was launched at the Aviva Stadium.


Players and manager from the league's member clubs were present to kick-start the new campaign. Airtricity CEO Stephen Wheeler joined League Director Fran Gavin in welcoming newly elected TD Mick Wallace - the former Wexford Youths boss - to the launch.

Champions Shamrock Rovers were represented by manager Michael O'Neill and skipper Dan Murray. "We know that all the clubs will be aiming to take the title from us this year but we worked hard to get our hands on the trophy and we won't let it go easily," said Murray.
