There has been speculation that this highly thought of kid will play for us, plys his trade at Aston Villa, and has just been chosen for the Under 19's.

Sean Murray is also highly rated and made it on the bench a few times, Sheffield united's Matty Harriott made his debut against Doncaster...both are English born ( shock horror )

Carruthers made the bench for the Villa game against Arsenal over the weekend.
Coming on for his Premier League debut. Just turned Gerrard inside out too.
On for the last 5 minutes against Liverpool. Fair play the lad. Just turned 19. Prospect.
Cracking tackle from him, scampered into the box, took a nick on the toe and got a yellow for his troubles...
He should have been given a penalty kick, not booked for diving. If two minutes on the pitch is anything to go by, this kid looks great.
Just showed some great trickery after winning the ball but was booked (unfairly) for diving. He's certainly not lacking in confidence anyway.
Another nice cameo there as they broke away.
Has he declared for us? What's the story?
Yeah he played in the 19s didn't he with Egan and them, saw him in the 5-1 game against Spain I think
