St Pats have signed former Wimbledon and Carlisle defender Des Byrne until the end of May..He will play on week to week contracts as he is still waiting the outcome of talks with some English clubs..He also has had offers from other eircom league clubs..Someone mentioned recently on this forum that he was with Cork City on trila over the last few weeks also..
According to tonights Evening Echo Cork Citys next signing could be 19 yr old central midfielder David Briggs from Unibond League side Ossett Town..He has been recomended by Ipswich scout Sonny Sweeney..Leeds bornBriggs is an amateur player and is not tied to the eircom league June transfer window so can be signed right away.. :)
