Devlin rules out Byrne move

Bray Wanderers manager Pat Devlin today dismissed reports that star striker Jason Byrne was on the verge of leaving the club.

Media reports today suggested Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen had made a substantial offer on the player but a laughing Devlin told ireland.com: "That’s the first I’ve heard of it, it's not April 1st is it?."

"Jason is a Bray player and will be in our side until such time as I decide not to pick him," said Devlin.

Byrne was once a target for Tranmere Rovers and has hit six goals for Bray this season.
