I'm getting some stories - like the "McDonnell to link up with Faroes" one - repeated loads of times both in the form and in the New Posts link (about 20 times).

They're dupes, I've deleted them. The CMS is buggy as hell tbh, they were at it several years and they still couldn't get it right!
