I was looking at the arsenal website and they have quite a few young Irish lads.
James Shea
Sean McDermott
Conor Henderson
Steve Smith
Callum Webb
Ben Glasgow
Does anyone know much about these guys?

Brilliant, the next batch of Graham Stack, Patrick Cregg, and Anthony Stokeses.
Just kidding (I hope). Seriously though Arsenal and West Ham have had a serious dearth of Irish players in the past 5 years (going back even further for Arsenal, really). The above three are the only ones I can remember in the 2000's to make a senior appearance**.
I believe Henderson and Shea are the closest to making a breakthrough (Shea especially judging by Almunia, Mannone, and Fabianski).
**EDIT: Graham Barrett made three senior appearances right at the turn of the century.
Nottingham Forest have a lota youth Irish lads also:
Brendan Moloney
Mark Byrne
Shane Redmond
Matt Sykes
Sean McCashin
Neill Byrne
Robbie Gibbons
Darragh Reynor
Jean Biansumba
Henderson was on the bench for Arsenal last Sunday v Wigan.

Im not sure about Mc Cshin but Biansumba will play for Ireland. most of the african players living/raised in Eueope end up playing for there adopted country
Is Shea definitely Irish? The programme for the FA Youth Cup Final last year said he was London-born (not that that means anything).
