Just wondering does anyone remember a set of triplets playing for Ireland at underage level? The only tentative bits of information that I have are that it may have been under 16s and it may have been some time in the 1990's.

They're not triplets but perhaps you're thinking of the Quinn brothers? I don't believe they would have ever all played on the same team at the same time though, too much of a gap in age.
The Farrally brothers from Kilbarrack all went to QPR then a couple ended up playing for Kilmount in Kilbarrack

The Gallen brothers (not triplets) should have all played for Ireland at undersage level if it wasn't for that pilliock Gerry "where am I?" Francis.

Gallens decision was down to a degree of sectarian abuse/bullying from Alan McDonald, the nordie centre back with QPR when he was breaking through. Its simple, he says it himself: He wanted to play for Ireland, but when he was young he was forced into declaring for England by means of a professional contract by the then manager of QPR, Gerry Francis.
English fans don’t believe this, I know, we have spoken about it a million times. They say that he played for the England schoolboys (U-18) before he played U-21 so his declaration was clear from the outset. Of course he played for the England schoolboys, he was 17 when he signed the aforementioned contract.
Kevins main love is QPR. That’s why he signed that dreaded contract, he would do anything for QPR, even if it meant playing internationally for England.
We need to put this to bed now.
SkStu – In all my years I have never heard that rumor. Are you sure that is true? Pretty terrible if it is!!!!
Bennocelt – Believe me, I wouldn’t want to talk about it either, plus its not known the amount of abuse Irish fans have given him over it
