Injured County pair get all-clear

Kildare County’s Shay Zeller and Shane Harte should both be fit for the opening game of the new season against Limerick FC at Station Road on Saturday, despite the fact that the pair limped out of last weekend’s pre-season friendly defeat to Longford Town.

There had been concerns that the Thoroughbreds could be left under-strength for the First Division opener, with reports suggesting that the injury to Zeller looked particularly nasty. However, club director Michael Casey has moved quickly to dispel all fears.
