Shamrock Rovers manager, Damien Richardson, believes a win over Dundalk in Thursday's eircom league clash will provide the league leaders with a massive psychological blow over the chasing pack.
Rovers currently hold four point lead over second placed Shelbourne after just 12 games and could extend it to seven before the weekend with a win in Oriel Park.
Richardson believes the win will put pressure on the rest of the premier division pretenders. "Playing earlier than the rest gives us an important head start on the . If we win it will shift the pressure back on to Shelbourne, Derry, Cork and Bohs."
