Cronin’s future in doubt
Kildare County defender Gareth Cronin faces an anxious wait to see whether he will be able to resume his playing career with the thoroughbreds as a knee injury has not responded to treatment and rest.
Cronin injured the knee during his side’s 1-1 with Cobh Ramblers in a league tie last November and following an operation to repair the damage, the 29-year-old has been sidelined since.
