Goal in last minute secured the three points for Wexford tonight in entertaining match after Wexford played for an hour with ten men. Wexford started with Paul Rossiter at left-full in place of the suspended Gareth McCurtain and Kevin Rowe up front with Conor Sinnott suspended and Jimmy K. and Warren wide right and left. Wexford started well and had a couple of shots on target before Kildare couldn't clear a corner and Breener found himself unmarked about ten yards out and volleyed left-footed into the roof of the net. Wexford then pulled another three saves from the Kildare keeper in quick succession until Kildare got an equaliser when a weak Wexford headed clearance fell to a KIldare player who tucked it away nicely off the left-hand post from about 18 yards. Breener then got a second yellow for clipping the useful Philly Hughes as he went past him. First yellow had been for a fairly innocuous tackle near half-way.

Wexford tightened up their passing in the second-half with their ten men and worked hard enough to deny Kildare any real chances except for one shot from thirty yards which clipped the top of the cross-bar with Packie beaten. Wexford also created a number of chances, the best falling to Patsy whose shot was deflected by the Kildare keeper just the wrong side of the post. Other half-chances fell to Dempsey and Rowe who couldn't keep their shots on target. Goal came in injury time when two neat passes down the right side found Gary in space and his pin-point cross found Patsy on his own about ten yards out who headed it neatly away.
Tough on Kildare who didn't take advantage of their extra man but great effort from the Youths. Thought Peter White and Anto Russell closed off the middle of the defence very well after Breener went off while Patsy and Shane worked their socks off in midfield. About 100 there.

Anto played very well in the second half and we realised we had to win the game and went for it which was great to see should be interesting next week but will be tough missing Breen
Have to give Mr Callanan a special mention as always poor for both sides
