We have the return match at home but against the Irish we don't really know what 'at home' means. If we remember the last time we played them at the Stade de France in October 2004 there were 30,000 Irish in the stadium. So if we could avoid that it would already be a first victory. I call upon all who support France to quickly prepare themselves and have the seats draped in blue, white and red.
Guys, if you are unsuccessful in getting tickets from the FAI, buy them from
http://www.ticketnet.fr
or
http://www.francebillet.com/
Both website have English language options and are happy to post tickets overseas (postal strikes permitting if you're in the UK). Not sure when they go on sale though.
If you to take this route, try and get you tickets as close as possible to the Sud Tribune (the south end). This is were we were in 2004 and will most likely be there again.
To add to newrynyuk's help, Fnac will allow you to buy them and pick them up in one of their many stores in Paris (with the same CC as was used to purchase them).
Anyone remember how much tickets were in 2004, or how much France generally charge for big games?
30 euro mine was and i was in the south end, what a night, if we can repeat that it will be some night!
when and what time exactly are these going on sale??
when tickets go on sale can for change to on in the tread title
tickets for the home game v Austria were as cheap as €10, but am sure will be a bit more for this game.
as it's mid week, are we really going to get more than the 8,000 allocation going to the game?
i'm all up for taking as many places away from the french as possible, but not if it dilutes our own support....
The French Football website says that info will be posted very soon. There is no indication as to when tickets will be made available.
They will hardly take an Irish credit card or post to Ireland this time. Best to use any French contacts, French colleagues or even foreign contacts.
Remember you can also buy Croke Park tickets through the French Football Federation as well.

They claim they can guarantee tickets from around €80 (not including fees, handling and VAT) despite no official announcement having been made yet. Or am I mistaken? "Derrière les buts" is behind the goals, but it doesn't specify which end.
Yes it's generally reliable but they do usually charge you double the price. "Derrière les buts" is their way of saying "the cheapest tickets" I imagine. They haven't a clue what they're going to get yet.
