...another topic just brought this into my head: The regional forums on Boards.ie are pretty crap, but I'm wondering if given the regional nature of football, they might work a bit better here? Just for general chat I mean. Worth a shot, maybe by province to start?
To pick up your own point from another thread, Ireland is too small a country to bother with it. It could be handy to break out information on gigs e.g. where Codes might be playing but as a football site the regional aspect is well covered by the junior leagues forums and the rest is national competition.
Sounds like a recipe for rivals bitching at each other constantly.

I use the regional on boards as there is a forum for where I live, not sure if it would work on foot though?
might it be a sugestion to have off topic chat on each club board instead
Leinster Schmeinster. I'm happy with the counties thing, maybe an idea would be stickies to the local newspaper website, etc? And for me personally, it'll be a good way of finding out what's happening back home. Could work...
