U17s through to elite phase

Our U17s beat Latvia 1-0 (O'Brien 79) today to ensure qualification for the elite phase of the tournament.

We had already beaten hosts Bulgaria 2-1 on sunday and with the top 2 to qualify cannot be caught by Bulgaria or Latvia. A draw with Sweden will ensure we win the group.

We will be in another 4 team group next spring with the winners of that qualifying for the finals in Liechtenstein.

any really good players to look out for? wasnt there an irish striker playing for man nited in the milk cup for there u17 i taught he was excelent scored a few goals? anybody know his name?

Robert Brady. more of a winger but was top goalscorer in the Milk Cup and was captain of that United side
