I was just wondering how far is The Radisson away from the Athlone town satium via taxi ?

I'm coming up to Athlone in a couple of weeks for The Blues game against ye, and I'm staying at The Radisson. What's the Radisson like, is it nice ?

Apologies for bouncing an old thread again...

I'm coming to Athlone soon but Radissson looks rather pricy!
I've been looking for a b&b close to the ground without much luck - can anyone recommend a b&b or guest house within reasonable walking distance please?

Nearest hotel would be The Sheraton but may be pricey.
Blue Sky B&B (090 6477222) is in the middle of town. No idea what its like
but I think MagicMe stayed there before when Mons came to town.
About 25 minute walk or so to The Wollen.

If you don't want something in town, Cornamagh House B&B is probably the closest. The Stadium is at the number 4 on the bottom of the map below. If you were walking it, it's probably a bit further away that it looks on the map.

Thanks for replies. Sheraton and Radisson both way over my budget!
I'll probably go for a b&b in town - easier as I'm coming by bus.
