The board have come to their sences and reduced the entrance prices, they are now as follows:
adult e15
student e8
child e5
the stand is an extra e5.
All in all, quite fair.

they must have realised that they were staring into a bottomless pit.the reaction around the country obviously helped them sit up and take notice
20 into the stand is still a rip off, compared to the rest of the league. i for one will not be making a trip to no name park this season.
I'd say they had this planned from the start: make a 50% increase look good in comparison to the announced 100%.Quote:

50% is a big jump in any business, if i put up my prices by 50% that would be it end of business, they haven't got a economic brain cell between the whole board up there.
and the gullible fools will think they are getting a great deal. the fine art of spin is alive and well in drawda.
Great leadership from the top by the Drogs Board. Really sticking to their guns there.
Increase it by 100% and make supporters angry.Supporters gang up and demand them to change there minds.Club backs down and now the increase is ONLY 50%.Is there any brain cells up around that part of the country. If thats not the most blatant piece of work i have ever seen.15 euro for Drogs (20 for stand)is very very steep. As i have mentioned before its the hardcore Drogs fans i feel sorry for having a board with this attitude..
20 for stand isn't too bad as they have very limited amount of seats. Supply and demand mean they'll get away with it
15 euro to stand in a barn is not good value though.
as i said above still a total rip off, will away fans travel with these sort of prices ????
Ah c'mon ... in fairness. We slate them if they dont and if they do.Quote:

The average price next year will probably be 12 euro. So paying 15 twice won’t make it too hard on away fans.
Can’t see it attracting any new home fans though
15 into a decent ground i could understand, into a kip like that i don't think so.
Drogs reduce ticket price hikes
The board of Drogheda United have opted against implementing a 100% increase in match-day ticket prices for the coming Premier Division season after coming under strong pressure from supporters’ groups since announcing the planned increases last week.
Stand tickets had been slated for an increase from Eur13 to Eur25, with terrace tickets to be doubled to Eur20, but the club has revised this stance, a move which has been welcomed by the club’s supporters.

Pure spin......
they've wrangled a fifty per cent increase in prices and we're meant to be happy. fifteen euros is not going to turn people off as much as twenty euro, but it's still going to be the most expensive away trip.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
As usual, very sensible. They'll get away with it with most away fans-if you'll pay to get there you'll pay an extra couple of quid. You won't get many coverts though or get big game fans to come out more often. They've so few seats I'd say they could get away with the €25 for most big games.Quote:
