Got a pint poured over his head tuesday night ?
Disgraceful act.
Seems so, whoever did it shouldn't be left near the ground again, the incident was witnessed and the person identified so that's a straightforward ban in my opinion.
Whatever one's personal feelings about the man [my own would be negative], it was a disgraceful act.
I dont think any right minded person would agree with this type of action against anyone.
I heard (correct me if I am worng) that Doolin had a rant on a cork radio station about Cork city people? calling you all fools "down here" (as if you were the back of beyond), is this true?
For me Doolin had the easiest ride ever in Drogheda, it didnt matter what games he blew or what rubbish he signed he was never held to account and when I saw him going to Cork I thought he was crazy as to be fair you guys are a bit more ahem "vocal". On top of this, we had to watch years of his 1 up front defense all backs to the wall and retreat in the last 20mins of a game type of football and again I thought this was at the compete other end of the style of football that to be fair Cork have traditonally played i.e. flair.
It would appear that his days are coming to an end on the Leeside. it will be intreestign to see which club then takes him on.
He had one on MNS complaining that the people "down there" wanted "too much football", and stating that playing more direct and more defensive was the way forward
He had another on the radio yesterday stating there's a "stupidness down here". Yes, he did say stupidness which isn't actually a word..
Then he's in the mirror today indicating that not only should the person who dumped the pint over him be banned [which they should be] but that the 30 people standing around outside the ground at the time, not showing the required level of appreciation of his brilliance, should also be banned.
Everytime he opens his mouth he's turning someone else against him "down here".
While I can't condone someone pouring a pint over Doolin's head, I can't help but be amused.
Well the act of pouring any liquid, on any person's head is intrinsically funny so most people’s reaction would be to laugh/snigger. The fact that its Doolin adds to my amusement too
And although, of course, it’s completely out of order, its hard not to sound too preachy when criticising it.
Aswell in the mirror he brought up the thing about the bottle been thrown at Dan "the **** up" Connor in 2005 which has no relevance whatsoever...lots of people saying his mam and dad were there aswel but the mirror says it was Tommy Dunne's parents.
His video interview on the CCFC home page is only hilarious: http://corkcityfc.ie/main.php?action...eadlineID=1015.
He looks like an egg on the verge of cracking, with all due respect to UCD and Drogheda, when he took those jobs there wasn't the same expectation and pressure as he faces now [whether CCFC fans are deluded in that expectation is irrelevant]. It seems he's having trouble handling it.
"I think the breeze again had a bit to do with it."
Maybe if you didn't hoof the ball it wouldn't make a difference.
Also he's already said "to be fair" twice in the first 30 seconds. Plenty more to come I suspect.
5 in the end. A bit of a reduction.
"...it's a stupidness down here...you have to win..."
:D ridiculous even for a Doolin comment.
He squeezes in an "It's like annyting" too.
It take acts like this sometimes for progress to happen.
I know the City fan involved and himself and his family are among the most passionate City fans at the Cross home and away.
He is turning me off City with the stuff he has them playing winning or losing its all sh1te.
It's true, that's how the internet was invented.
A moderately attractive girl threw a pint over Tim Berners-Lee after he made a pass at her. He went home in a sulk, vowing he wouldn't go out again until he had his revenge by doctoring a picture of her head on a porn stars body and had found a means of showing it to the world.
