Great News for any Pixies fans out there and hopefully they will get back to the studio soon after.

I dunno about this... hopefully they won;t be sh!t... I mean they haven;t played together in 11 years...

i have it on (relatively) good authority it is not a once off, and that an Irish date will be confirmed for sometime during the summer.

the question is whether they will be any good or not. i doubt there's new material there, which might be a good thing (Black's recent stuff with the Catholics has been iffy) i reckon it's another example of record exec's resurrecting groups they loved in their late teens (as has been done with Steely Dan, The Undertones, The Velvet Underground, Fleetwood Mac and countless others in recent years).

still, i'll be up the front moshing (and too old for it) as soon as the opening of 'debaser' hits if they do play in Duyblin.

i had the same thoughts but i suppose you have to put any doubts about artistic integrity if you are a fan and just rejoice in the fact that all four will be on a stage at the same time

When i heard the new's on the radio yeterday i nearly got out of my van and done riverdance, gret new's hopefully they will be doing a big tour of euroland and i would like to see debaser played before Ireland home game'a instead of the usual rubish.
