Harkin recovering from knee op

Bohemians’ versatile midfielder Fergal Harkin is recovering from the knee operation he underwent last week, and should be fit again to fight for a place in the Gypsies side before the start of next season.

Harkin, the only member of the Bohs first-team squad who is not a full-time professional, was a consistently good performer for Stephen Kenny’s side in the season just ended - despite being unable to nail down a regular starting place in the side.
