Review Of Season Just Gone
3. Cork City
Always good enough to finish in the top four, but never good enough to win anything that counts. No other club in the history of Irish football will have invested so much money to win the Munster Shield. Why is it that Cork only beat Waterford when it doesnt matter? Corks large support and the hunger of Pat Dolan will continue to push the club to throw money about like confetti. The clubs penchant for spending big money on average players again produced a disappointing season. However, qualifying for the Inter-Tayto cup does offer the fans some consolation and it is to be hoped that next seasons horrific new away strip will blind opposition defenses and move City up two places in the table.

??? What average players did we spend big money on? Big money on wages & signing on fees I presume ?
Casey / Doyle / Hedderman / Nwanko / Chidoze / Coughlan / who else? came in - hard to see big money being spent on them (cept mebbe Derek?)
Not denying that we have fair few average players but don't see how we spend big money on them.
Is this a jibe at Neale Fenn ?
Plus City seems to be the most financially stable of the top three - hardly throwing money like confetti ...
Me being sensitive?
