From Bari Airport

Here is some info for getting from Bari airport to city centre.

Bus number 16 € 1.20

Air Train € 4 or 5

Taxi € 15 to 20

They made some money in a couple of days! I paid EUR 35 from the airport into the city centre on Wednesday morning (I think I passed the stadium twice). Only EUR 25 for the reverse journey yesterday. I can't begrudge them though - I can't see any of them getting rich on the day-to-day business in Bari and nearly all the locals were very friendly.

The value was in the match tickets - 11 euro for a ticket and free buses out to the stadium and back.

Flights via Bologna to Bari and 2 nights hotel (not used much) - less than EUR400 (excluding refreshments)

2 fantastic days and a point against the world champions - priceless!

my cousin lives in Bari and he reckoned that the beer at €4 was double what it normally costs. all bars on piazza mercantile and ferrarese charged €4

Ahem, two 330ml bottles of Peroni = 660ml @€4

One 40cl (400ml) plastic container of Peroni €4

Guess what I was drinking and on Tuesday when the beer was running dry ended up with two bottles of Tennants 9% rocket fuel for €4
