Kenna and Peschisolido register for Pat's


St Patrick's Athletic manager Jeff Kenna and his assistant Paul Peschisolido could both turn out for the Saints after registering as players for the coming season. The former Birmingham City team-mates took the decision to register after the squad suffered several injuries to first team players ahead of Friday's opening League of Ireland Premier Division fixture at home to Galway United.

With only 13 fit players at one stage, the duo decided to make themselves available. The former Irish international confirmed: 'We have registered, yes. We did that last week when players were dropping like flies.' Speaking in today's Irish Independent, he added: 'We have two or three back now; it was purely on the basis of having to make up the numbers for Friday. But we don't think that (togging out) is going to be the case now and hopefully that's how it will remain.'
