Well done to Aisling Anacotty who beat Cork league today 1 nil in the final.
Good win for Annacotty. One of toughest games they have played in a long time, Cork were very physical I think it caught them by surprise. It took a long time for Annacotty to adjust to the playing surface. Annacotty weren't at the races it has to be said and Cork could have came out on top only for some solid defending. Cork's fitness was a bit of a surprise as well....from the grapevine it was said they hadn't been training but clearly not the case!!:p Some good players with Cork, some I hadn't seen b4 that were young and quick. Small squad with them though, I think AA had more players with them if I am correct? Both keepers had great games...kept their teams in it if being truthful! Cork keeper couldn't of stopped the goal, her height caught her but rarely are shots like that stopped! All in all was a good match to watch with some very tasty challenges going in but was a mostly good tempered game!;)
