He won the Dubai Desert Classic which moves him up to 14th in the World. I don't know if he can live up the expectations but that is some achievement.
Winning a good tournament so early can only give him more confidence.

Fantastic achievement. He has been close for a while now, but great to see him actually clinch one.
He had me up the walls the fool.
Having watched him literally throw it away in Switzerland and then mess up in Hong Kong I thought he couldn't do it again having been 5 ahead with 4 left but by christ he tried his best to do it. His 3rd shot on the 18th was terrible but fair play to him he came through in the end...........the first one is always the hardest and i'm sure he'll never throw it away/bottle it again!
I honestly believe this guy will be better than Tiger so we have an exciting few years ahead of us!
Woods won his first tournament and major at 22. He was still an amateur at 19. McIlroy has won his first tour title at a younger age than Woods. This guy could be a major shock at the Masters! I'll be putting a few quid on him anyway!
