lads very interestin article in evening herald tonightabout garto being wanted by rangers on trial.. he previously had a spell with dundee utd in scotland.. i would reckon garto would have no hesitation in signing.. imagine garto the irish mo johnston!!:D butch treacy would be delighted:D

Alex Stevenson from Dublin, Alex Craig from Galway and James McAuley Lowry from Portarlington are the only 3 RoI born players to play for Rangers AFAIK.
McAuley Lowry made only 1 or 2 appearances, Craig was a decent player and played quite a bit. Stevenson had a long football career with Dolphin, Rangers, Everton and Pats as a player and manager. Rangers came over and played Dolphin in Dalymount in 1933 as part of the transfer. They were regular visitors to Dalymount early in the last century for friendlies v Bohs. The Dolphin game was their last friendly in the Republic.
If the transfer does come off it would be a great move for Graham.
