Matthews waits on Kirby fitness

Longford Town manager Alan Matthews will give key midfielder Alan Kirby right up until shortly before kick-off on Sunday to prove his fitness.

Kirby is rated doubtful with an ankle knock which has caused him to miss the last two matches for the midlanders.

The Waterford native has been a key member of the Longford side this season, offering plenty of creativity from the right flank, but he is rated doubtful for Sunday afternoon’s big game.
