I heard a few days ago that Tommy Lynch quit Kilkenny City, is there any truth to that and if so its a good thing he kept the day job...managing Hill Celtic
I said this to Deise yesterday and I saw it in the papers today, Bord na gCon won't be moving to a new stadium just yet, it turns out that the engineer said that it wasn't feasible. They are committed to relocating to a new modern stadium and have allocated seven million towards the project but it looks that they will be staying in the Marketsfield for a little longer.
I'm not one for blowing my own trumpet but since I've contacted the Limerick Leader about their coverage of Limerick FC I have noted an improvement especially by Mr. O'Shaughnessy, sports editor. The Limerick Post have referred/quoted me as well a couple of times and I also saw an article which referred to LFC in Exiles letter to all Limerick politicians. We have allies out there and if we make the effort we can get some support behind us. I think it looks good when the papers refer to the supporters getting in contact with them and not just Ralf and J.P. so basically all of us lets make some noise to the media and build up some momentum. Something like this can be a plus to the players psychologically.

Agreed Nempton. It's a pity the same article you referred to said I was asking them for money (or something like that) when I was asking them about zoning decisions and also had a picture of the Oscar Traynor team with named players and a match is Askeaton instead of Limerick FC pics. Still, that's a bit picky of me - your point is well taken.
I think there is a lot of good will towards senior soccer in Limerick. It has yet to be tapped - and by tapped I don't mean going with the poor mouth but getting in with these business people and getting them to see the potential. If tehre's one thing Limerick FC has going for it is potential.
And I heard Tommy Lunch is indeed gone from the Cats. Well, it's hardly surprising. Will young Brown be back in the junior leagues again with Tommy?

I read the responses you got from the different politicians, well done. It's good to see that your efforts have been awarded and it has created an opportunity for us to meet with some of them. To get high profile names behind us will be great publicity for the club and might help bring in some new faces to matches and money to the club.
