In his acceptance speech he said he was inspired by my starting of a golf thread here.
Fantastic achievement to win the two majors, and even though it's probably sinking in for him now it's always nice to receive official recognition to further highlight the success. I'd be amazed if the players didn't acknowledge him as well. I got massive enjoyment out of seeing him win as well so: Well done Páidí, keep teaching them yanks a thing or two!
2 majors this season, three in 12 months...who else were they ever going to give it to?
