Goal Of the Season/Month RTE

Hello all

This idea has been knocked about a few times but I think its well due an airing given Ollie Cahill's screamer against St Pats on Friday:

SAW the first goal again on rte sports news......on closer inspection and with the benefit of tv replay (I was in the shed end when he scored...and couldnt see a thing)...it was a bloody cracker

we really should have a goal of the season (or month if rte get the led out) thinggy set to music like bbc match of the day...possibly with a phone in vote....play it at half time in internationals on the telly shure shounds like an idea....I think they have cameras at a good few games now to make the competition feasible for the first time.....they always have some form of VT for the news so compiling a monthly compo from the goals with a slick backing track like the Jams, Thats Entertainment and maybe Bertie Ahern saying I Kiss Football.......o hang on thats already been done.....well you get the idea!
