Bought a Packard Bell computer recently(not sure model)! Went a bought Logitech Speakers Ls11. But have tried them and they don't work with the computer. The speakers work for sure, because i tried ipod and DS on it. Why would this be happening. Surely the Computer has a soundcard? Please help. Getting frustrated!

Problem with your sound card so. Where you plug in the speakers, the port with the music icon, does it look like a PCI Card Slot or is it built in? I'm asking is it possible to take out/put back in the sound card if its a PCI Card Slot or put in a new card?Quote:

hopefully it is nothing like some of those horror stories.
Try going into your sound settings in the control panel and see if the configuration is set to speakers and not internal audio
Or if you can access the bios on boot up see if the audio is switched on in there
Could it be the sound card's drivers? That'd be easy to fix anyway.
But it is a brand new computer. How Would that have happened. How do ya fix it?Quote:
