Help me write a Foot.ie survey

In anticipation of not winning an award this year, what could we do to win next year? Foot.ie is long overdue a redesign, and that would help me incorporate other features I've wanted to include for a long time, such as a proper feed reader, tighter intregration of the blog, articles, videos, etc. A buddy of mine is willing to do the redesign, but we should have a good overview of what we want before we get into that, so we can think ahead and make sure the new layout is ready for new features I haven't thought of yet. How would be integrate Twitter or Facebook if we wanted to, for eg.

I think a good first step would be a survey, which I can handle via Google Docs, and then perhaps a poll on stuff people suggest in an open suggestion box at the end of it. What say you? Can you help me draft the survey? What questions should I put?

I will offer advice though:
If I learnt anything in college it's that when your doing a survey you should always ask the same question twice just re-phrase it a little. If needs be ask it 3 times.

Well, what do you want to figure out exactly? Is it about new features, or about layout or both?

My question too.

If it's about ways to improve the site, I'd look to the fact that it's a club specific site. So stuff like (and I know it's come up before and been shot down) forum skins, for example.

I don't know how you get that into a survey question though!

Skins are something we'd have to implement. I'm looking for more general questions, like "what would you like to see on foot.ie". Ah screw it, let's start basic, see what happens:
