Harps 1 up Tyrrell.
Bohs 1 up.
Half time at Finn Park. It's still Harps 1-0 UCD. Lashing rain.
SF 2-0 up in Monaghan.
13 points clear!! We are invincible!!!!
Bohs win 1-0
2-0 Harps! Get in!
Get in! Murphy makes "save of the season" according to the commentators.
Hang on a minute, I thought he was injured.
By...em...one account. UCD were stuffed out of sight tonight. I would have minded alot less, if we had taken some points from other teams recently. We have done the league dirty on Finn Harps in the past. Two late penos in two different matches in the same season, it's not nice.
I am glad that both teams maximised their points (wins) against each other, and I'm aware Finn harps (relegation threatened) play mid-table Drogheda Utd at home. After Finn Harps get good and Drogs forget how to play.
Well. we are now behind. 8 sometimes 9 games to go.
delighted for the harps. well done guys.
hope ucd go down - not good enough and no aspirations.
good performance tonight from sligo but lack of penetration is the problem
we were entitled to have the game postponed but could not afford it
Rovers Robbed. Couple of very contentious penalty decisions. And Just a Woefull mistake by Brush and Butler to gift Bohs a goal. Brush threw ball at Butler and ball rebounded to a bohs player who all he had to do was chip Brush and he did it. Murphy was brilliant for Bohs and that was the only thing between the sides at the full time whistle. Also had another goal disallowed up here for second week in a row.
While according to RTE, he's a hoop.
Quote:
The Hoops' netminder was back to his brilliant best on 75 minutes when he pulled off a stunning save to deny Doherty from six yards after Cash crossed low from the right.
We aspire to be a club who can afford to postpone a game, or who don't have to do bucket collections to avoid death.
Very strange game. Pitch was awful (don't think I've ever seen Finn Park playable, to be honest!), but while we were slipping and sliding all over the shop, Harps played well and took a deserved lead after 15. We improved a lot after that and for the rest of the game, probably had 55% of the ball, but Harps hit the bar twice, forced four great saves out of Matt Gregg and scored a farce of a goal after Greg Bolger slipped on half way when everyone was up looking for an equaliser for a free, leaving Harps with one on one in our half. Relegation race is over now; Harps have the mantra of worst team to avoid relegation in recent years, but the game really showed why we're struggling with no real chances to Harps' 8.
How big are Cork's debts again?
