Just listening to newstalk for my sins and Phil Thompson on previewing Liverpool in Europe, no mention of the Irish club still in Europe.

Morning Ireland had a good little piece about the Bohaz and Drogs. Little interview with Glen Crowe and that and then the slightest mention of Liverpool and Arsenal tonight. Happy days.

Why are you still suprised when something like that happens ? We all know that the only time the eircom league makes any news is when it is in a bad way ! It should be the FAI's main objective to push the league forward but all they worry about is Trappatoni and the National team, making sure that all the pre-madonnas are kept sweet so the suits get there junkets to the big events. I saw on tele the other morning John Delaney at the boxing in Beijing !!!! Why its not like ireland had a soccer team there ! We know where his heart lies and its not with us from the eircom League of IRELAND.

If you have not figured it out at this stage this is way it works. There is:

* Irish football i.e. LOI
* Foreign football i.e. everything else

Under no circumstance should both be discussed together.

Just to spell it out to you by that is the way Newstalk operate. LOI must not be discussed in the Football show post 9pm so it gets its own separate "special" slot.
