Thursday draw for Cup final
This year’s FAI Carlsberg Cup final which will be played in Lansdowne Road, the home of Irish soccer will see the draw for the semi-finals of the competition taking place in the Mont Clare Hotel on Thursday afternoon at 4pm.
RTE cameras will be present at the draw and it will be shown on television during the Six-One broadcast. Presiding over the draw ill be UCD manager Pete Mahon and Bray Wanderers manager Pat Devlin.
Mahon led non-league side St Francis to the memorable Cup final of 1991 only to be defeated by Devlin’s Bray side at Lansdowne Road.
This year’s draw sees Galway United, Longford Town and St Patrick’s Athletic’s names go into the hat while the winners of tonight’s quarter-final replay between Bohemians and Drogheda United will also proceed to the last four.
